What to bring into the Parks! Part 2
When it comes to bringing kids into the Parks, you can never be too prepared. In this post I’m sharing what I pack in my Stroller Bag along with some tips for what to bring with you if you’re traveling with kids!
What is a stroller bag?
A stroller bag is what I keep in my stroller 24/7 while I’m at Disney! I make sure to keep valuables with me in my personal bag. That way I’m not hauling a giant bag around with me on rides and into restaurants!
Here’s what I’m bringing with me in the Stroller Bag:
Stroller Fan
These are a lifesaver, especially on hot park days. My kids are still pretty little and will sleep in the stroller, and there’s nothing worse than having a hot, sweaty, tired kid wake up cranky! I like to keep them as comfortable as possible, and a stroller fan helps SO much!
I mentioned this in my last post, but it’s worth mentioning again! I bring a lot of hand sanitizer with me. Especially with kids - you never know what they’re touching, and then they always have their hands in their mouths. (gross!) Hand sanitizer is key!
These are awesome just for that added measure of cleanliness with babies and toddlers. You can stick them right to the table and fold them under the lip of the table for full coverage. I love these because my toddler won’t eat off a plate - he’ll just throw that on the floor - he eats off the table because it’s like his high chair at home!
These are awesome! I bought them to use for our most recent trip, and it was nice being able to have things nice and organized. I had one with an extra change of clothes, one held all the sanitizer, one held the disposable placemats, one for my disposable straws, and more! I had one of the large ones dedicated to holding diapers, wipes, and diaper cream for an easy grab-and-go for diaper changes! It was amazing to not have to take my big bulky bag into the restroom for a quick diaper change. These are also great because the bags are clear, making security a breeze!
This is another thing that I seem to always forget, and buying it in the Parks is really expensive! So don’t make the same mistake I do and pack some sunscreen in your stroller bag!
When it’s hot, your kids will be thirsty all. the. time! Instead of trying to find a drinking fountain or a restaurant that has a free cup of water, we like to bring our own refillable water bottles. Then, water is ready on-demand!
Lightweight Blanket
I love bringing a lightweight blanket like a swaddle with us into the parks. Swaddles fold up really small, so they are nice to bring along. They can become quick shade, or offer comfort and warmth during a nap.
This is another thing that is way too expensive if you buy them in the parks! They’re great to have on hand for rides like Splash Mountain, or when it inevitably rains at Walt Disney World. Those afternoon rain storms are no joke - and you don’t want to be unprepared! These aren’t the nicest ponchos, but I like having a bunch just in case. They make a great stroller cover in a pinch, too!
Band-aids
You never know when you’ll need one for a scrape or a blister! I keep a handful of these in my personal bag and in my stroller bag, just in case!
This is for my Walt Disney World goers, especially! You can pretty much count on the fact that it will rain while you’re there. This is, in my opinion, an essential. You would hate to park your stroller outside to come back to it in a full-on downpour, with all your things soaked. Your kids are not going to want to sit in a wet stroller, either!
Stroller Tote Bag
I love to have a cute bag to keep everything in that can stay in my stroller the entire day. Bonus if it’s got a zipper closure! I make sure to keep valuables like my phone and wallet with me in my personal bag.
Did I miss anything that you bring into the parks with you? I’d love to hear about it!
