What to bring into the Parks! Part 1
You can never be too prepared when you go to a Disney Park! After many, many trips to Disneyland and Walt Disney World, I have learned the essentials for what I need to bring with me when I am alone or with a group, or when I am there with my kids.
In this post, I’ll be sharing what I bring with me no matter what. The best part? They all fit nicely into my Loungefly Backpack!
What’s in my Personal Bag?
This is the stuff I make sure I’m bringing with me every time - regardless of if I have kids with me or not! Do you bring any of these with you? Do you bring something that’s not on my list?
Let me know!
I’m a bit of a germ freak in public places, especially at Disney. I bring disinfecting wipes for wiping down tables, chairs, or even ride vehicles.
Even though there is hand sanitizer available all throughout the parks, I like to have some on hand because why not?
You don’t think about putting sunscreen on your lips until you’ve got a sunburn on your lips. You don’t want this to happen! Plus, you won’t have dry lips while you’re in the heat. Make sure you pack some lip balm!
Hair Ties or Scrunchies
Because you just never know if you’ll need one - I almost always end the day with my hair up because it’s too hot or because my hair was ruined on a ride like Splash Mountain or Incredicoaster!
This stuff is a GAME CHANGER. I bought this one from Super Goop. When I get ready for the day, I put on an SPF and a foundation with SPF - but after I’m at the parks for a few hours, I need to reapply my SPF - especially if I’ve been sweating from the heat! I love this one because I can powder up and reapply SPF all at the same.
This is a strange one, I know. But recently Disney switched to paper straws to help cut down plastic waste - which I LOVE, don’t get me wrong. But I really don’t love paper straws. They get a little soggy and that’s a no-go for me. If you’re also weird about straws like I am, you can pack some disposable straws like the ones I linked above. I got a giant box of individually wrapped straws and bring a small amount with me on each trip. The nice thing about these is that they’re compostable and biodegradable. They’re made of Agave, not plastic! BUT they still feel like plastic and don’t get soggy, so I love them!
This one is a game-changer! When you’re at Disney, you use your phone way more than you think you do. Between playing games like Heads Up with your group to taking pictures, or using the Disneyland app, your battery drains pretty fast. I always keep a power bank with me, and recently discovered this one. I love it! I love that I can charge it with the built-in plug, and that it has built-in cables so I don’t have to think about bringing my own.
Here’s another portable charger option. The thing I love about FuelRods is you can swap them for a new one when your battery runs out. Some places have a small fee to swap for a new one, but currently at Disney it is Free to swap them out. I love not having to worry about if I have a full charge on my power bank before leaving for the parks, because I can just get a new one! The main con with this is that it doesn’t charge my phone up all the way, but I love how small and lightweight this charger is! They are $30 if you buy them in the Parks, or you can get this 2-pack for $35! One for you and one for a friend!
Refillable Water Bottle
When you’re at the Parks from open until close, you’re going to get thirsty! You can always ask for a free water cup at almost every Quick Service restaurant, but sometimes that’s not very convenient. You’ll want to bring one you can refill and have with you at all times - especially if you’re waiting in a long line! They’re life savers! I like this one because it fits nicely into my Loungefly backpack so I can carry it around with me easily!
Loungefly Backpack
You see them everywhere at Disney - so I knew I had to get one. I love mine. They have so many different themes and designs, that you’re bound to find one you love. I use mine whenever I go to Disney and LOVE it! You must check them out!
Is there anything I’m missing? What do you love to bring with you to Disneyland or Walt Disney World?
Stay tuned for Part 2 where I share what I bring in my Stroller bag!
